1. Mi jelenti számodra az „ideális otthon”-t?

Akkor ideális számomra az otthon, ha családom minden tagja jól érzi magát benne. Eddig lakásban laktunk, 3 éve vettük meg vidéki parasztházunkat. A felújítás során is erre törekedtünk. A ház nem nagy, mégis mindenkinek megvan a saját kis kuckója, ha elvonulni támad kedve. Ennek ellenére az idő nagy részében együtt vagyunk a konyhában vagy a nappaliban.

What is an “ideal” home in your opinion?

An ideal home in my opinion is one where all family members feel good. We had lived in a flat before and bought this countryhouse 3 years ago. We kept the above in mind when renovating, too. The house is not too big, but everybody have their own little corner, where they can seek refuge.
However, we spend most time together, in the kitchen or in the living room.

2. Ha belépsz valahova, azonnal látod min kellene változtatni, hogy otthonosabb legyen?

Általában igen. Könnyen bele tudom képzelni magam más otthonokba, így rögtön jön az ötlet, hogy mit-hogyan csinálnék, ha itt élnék.

When you enter a room, do you always instantly see that needs changing to make it more homely?

Yes, i do, usually. I can easily picture myself in other people’s homes, so ideas about what could be done and how pop into my mind immediately.

3. Ha látsz egy érdekes megoldást (magazinban, az interneten vagy ismerősnél), megpróbálod otthon megvalósítani?
 

Persze, volt már ilyen. Csomó kép van a fejemben, amit egyszer valahol láttam, és nem felejtettem el. Néha addig kísértenek az agyamban, míg meg nem csinálom. Ilyen volt ez a konyhaasztal alá épített kis házikó is.

When you see an interesting solution (in a magazine, on the Internet or at somebody’s place) do you try to realise it in your own home? Sure, sometimes. I have a lot of pictures in my head, things I once saw somewhere and never forgot it. Sometimes these pictures haunt me until I realise them – the little house built under the kitchen table was one of them.

4. Hogy jöttél rá, hogy van érzéked a lakberendezéshez, illetve kézügyességed az átalakításhoz?

Ez fokozatosan történt, az első saját otthonommal kezdődött, és máig tart. Még mindig rácsodálkozom egy-egy felújított bútorra, hogy jéé, ezt meg tudtam csinálni!!!

How did you realise you have a good taste for home décor and dexterity for remaking?

This is a process still evolving, and it started with my first home. Sometimes, even now, I look at the furniture and think – wow, I really did this!

5. Honnan indult és hol tart most a blog, milyen átalakulásokon ment át?
 

A blogot ketten indítottuk legjobb barátnőmmel. Ő kisbabát szült időközben, így nincs annyi ideje. Januártól a 15 éves lányom vette át a szerepét. Az ő konyhai tanulgatásai is felkerülnek a blogra. Talán ezzel más tinilánynak is kedve támad sütni-főzni.

Where did the blog come from and what kind of changes did it undergo?

The two of us, my best friend and I started the blog. In the meantime, she had a baby, so she doesn’t have enough time anymore. So my 15-year-old daughter will fill in for her from January 15th. Hopefully, her experiments in the kitchen will inspire other teenage girls to start baking and cooking.

6. Sokan mondják, hogy gyermekük születése után felfedezték alkotói vénájukat – Te is?

Ez talán furán hangzik, de nem is emlékszem, hogy a gyerekek előtt volt-e saját stílusom. Elég korán, 22 évesen lettem anya (ma már 15 éves a legidősebb), így mondhatni együtt nőttem fel, együtt alakultam a gyerekeimmel. Így én határozottan állíthatom, hogy igen, a gyerekszülés után fedeztem fel az alkotás örömét.

Many women claim the birth of their children brought out the creativeness in them – what about you?

This may sound strange, but I don’ t even remember having my own style before children. I became a mother quite early, when I was 22 (my oldest child is 15 years old), so you can say I basically grew up and developed with my children. I can definitely say I discovered the joy of creating after giving birth.

7. Mi a kedvenc időtöltésed, mi kapcsol ki a legjobban?

Egyértelműen a sütés. Ez egy nagy szerelem! Kikapcsol, ellazít. Nem véletlenül található a blogon is sok recept.

What is your favourite past time activity, what relaxes you the most?

Definitely baking. This is a big love of mine! It relaxes me. It is not by accident that there are a lot of recipes on the blog.

9. Magyarországon miben kellene a leginkább fejlődnünk otthonteremtés terén?
 

Sokszor hallom itt-ott a kifogást, hogy nincs pénz felújításra, változtatásra. Egyik cél a blogon pont ez, hogy megmutassuk, kevés pénzből is lehet jót csinálni. Saját kezűleg újítottuk fel a házunkat, ezzel sokat tudtunk spórolni. Ha nagyobb dolog volt, áthívtuk a haverokat egy bográcsozással egybekötött dolgozós hétvégére. Ezt lehet kicsit túlzásba is vittük, mert nemrég férjemnek szerveztem névnapi murit itthon, egyik barátunk jelezte, hogy oké, ő jön. Majd kérdezte, hogy most mi a munka?

Where does Hungary need to develop when talking about home-creating?

I often hear excuses regarding lack of money for renovation and change. One of the aims of the blog is to show people they can make nice things with little money. We renovated the house ourselves, this way we could save a lot of money. When a larger project was due, we called our friends to help us by organising a joint outdoor cooking and work event. This might have gotten a little bit out of hand – recently I organised a nameday party for my husband and when a friend of his called to confirm he asked “So, what's the work about?”

10. Mivel foglalkozol jelenleg (otthon, blog, munka, hobbi)?

Most a legkisebb manóval itthon vagyok, ő még nem óvodás. Emellett a blogot szeretném idén fejleszteni, amennyire tudom.

What are you currently involved in (home, blog, work, hobby)?

I am on maternity leave with my smallest child, he does not go to kindergarten yet. Besides this, I would like to further develop the blog as much as I can.

11. Mik a terveid a jövőre nézve?

 Álmom egy saját sütiző, egy cukrászda, amit magam rendeznék be. Ott sütném a sütijeimet addig, amíg idős néni nem lennék. Akkor átadnám a gyerekeimnek, hogy ők süssenek tovább. Ez a terv, és biztos vagyok benne, hogy idővel megvalósítom.

What are your plans for the future?

My dream is to open a confectionary decorated and run by me. I would bake my cakes there until I grow old. Then I would pass it on to my children. This is the plan, and I am sure I will realise it some day.
